Merry Christmas,
As our Nation and States and Cities continue to recover and learn to walk in this new normal following the storm of COVID-19, we as a ministry have continued to move forward as well. We have managed to accomplish several small scale ministry events throughout this time of Social Distancing and quarantine, many lives have been affected and many ministered to through small turkey hunts, fishing adventures, deer hunts, duck hunts, dove hunts as well as simple ministry contact with our family.
As we push forward we will begin to expand our efforts of outreach and will pick up where we left off with planning for many upcoming events, 2021 is nearly upon us and we will be starting it off running with an event to Lake City Ammo Plant in Kansas City on New Years Day!
several events may appear suddenly as we are allowed to expand our socializing, so stay tuned for things to come and be ready to jump on board with us as we press on toward the goal. Thank you for your prayer and your continued support of this ministry, through you we can make a difference in the lives of those in need.
Thank you,Tron Peterson

The POM Board along with our Lake of Hope management team have determined and implemented the shown guidelines for catch and release as well as keep and clean fish limits and sizes. These efforts will help us manage our resources to allow quality fishing for years to come. There is also a log book located on sight to record the days fishing conditions as well as success to help in our lake and fisheries management process.
Thank you

Veteran and POM Volunteer guiding a fellow Veteran and his son at Lake of Hope, ministry in the midst of chaos "as Iron sharpens Iron so one man sharpens another"!
Peterson Outdoors Ministries' (POM) mission is to provide faith based outdoor recreational therapy for injured and recovering Veterans, and their families, as well as youth and adults with disabilities or terminal illness.
Peterson Outdoors Ministries is a 501 (c)3 non-profit organization with a governing board of directors. It was founded in 2006 to provide hope, healing, and restoration for Veterans, and their families, as well as those with disabilities and serious illness. With an emphasis on Veterans, and those with disabilities, Peterson Outdoors Ministries has expanded its outreach to include Military Chaplains, Gold Star and Blue Star Families, First Responders, and Police Officers.
POM's recreational therapy has been expanding to the following states: Missouri, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Kansas, Tennessee and to the Countries of Canada, Africa, and the UK.
Thousands of Veterans, family members, Military Chaplains, First Responders and those with disabilities or life-threatening illnesses, have been helped from over 30 states and 2 countries.
Over three dozen Veteran suicides have been prevented that we know of, and many more have been prevented through our support programs and partners. Many Veterans, and those with disabilities, have returned to volunteer throughout the years which is a testimony to the organizations success.
The Lodge of Hope, another tool of Peterson Outdoors Ministries, is a 7,000 sq. ft. disabled accessible lodge located on 200 acres in Missouri, with a 35 acre private lake. Lodge of Hope is the headquarters of Peterson Outdoors Ministries and serves as a year-round retreat center where Veterans, and those with disabilities, can come and partake in therapeutic outdoor activities such as deer, turkey, and waterfowl hunting, as well as fishing, boating, kayaking, nature walks, and more! All of this is designed to bring hope, restoration, and renewal for those who come to The Lodge of HOPE!
Hero's Hunting For Hope Annual Events
throughout the year we will welcome a multitude of warriors and Chaplains to Lodge of Hope as well as several off site locations in several States as well as Canada for a wide array of outdoor therapy events, exciting times are ahead as we prepare for this coming year! Our POM Volunteers are some of the best in the world and give everything in them to provide an opportunity for God to minister to all who participate.
Our prayer is that no one leave the way they came, but that life change will take place through an encounter with a Holy God!
You can help by sponsoring one of our participants through a generous donation, help us cover travel expenses and licensure for their event by clicking the link and selecting your gift amount. Average expense per participant is $275 but you can give any amount, once an amount is designated simply put Sponsor a Veteran in the memo field and we will make sure your donation goes to that cost!
Thank You for your support of the ministry
we can make a difference together!
Due to circumstances beyond our control we have had to make a change to our Donation Link, We are no longer able to accept PayPal donations do to a glitch in their system and have changed our donation links over to Chip In and Beyond who are designed to work with non profit organizations such as ours.
Due to an increased and expressed need within our POM family, we are developing a benevolence fund to generate support for POM Volunteer's and their immediate Families as well as our Veteran Participants and their immediate Families.
You may give to the general fund that will be distributed at the discretion of the POM Board, or you may give by designating a particular family in need, those gifts will go directly to that designated family.
Use the memo field in the giving app to designate benevolence and any specific giving.
The Nashville House is Now on the Property at Lodge of Hope! So thankful for Tilton Home Movers for their efforts and support in getting this project completed.
The story behind The Nashville House is a beautiful image of God's people coming together to serve others, Nashville Christian Church actually donated this house to Peterson Outdoors Ministries several years ago for use in POM's efforts to minister to our Nations Wounded Veteran's and their families.
Through this generous Donation POM has been effectively ministering to those needs by using the facility for housing during annual events, meetings for various leadership teams within the ministry, and even providing it as housing to families or individuals who were in need of temporary housing.
After the Purchase of Lodge of Hope near Bellamy Missouri, it was decided that we needed to move the Nashville House to the Property and remodel it to better serve the ministry efforts of POM, Nashville Christian Church gave their blessing and the pans began. As with many an undertaking we as a ministry had to acquire funding to cover all the costs involved, much of the cost were donated through generous providers but money was needed to cover expenses, after generating a giving campaign to raise these funds our goal was achieved and progress was made.
Of course as with any major project budgets fall short and unseen needs arise creating a shortfall in our project fundraising creating the need to find more funds! This is where you come in!!!!!
Were asking you to prayerfully consider making a donation to the Nashville House Project to help us complete this much needed asset and provide more housing on our property.
We have been offered a $10,000 matching grant from a local foundation, this simply means if we can generate $10,000 they will match that number giving us $20K to complete our Nashville House project and get it functional to help us minister more effectively as we provide ample housing on property for our events.
click the giving link bellow, select your gift amount or choose to write in an amount then in the memo field just put Nashville House and it will go toward meeting this matching grant!
Thank You and may God Bless you for your faithfulness
